Another person we cannot operate without is Gloria, our Sewing Room Supervisor and sewer extraordinaire. In addition to keeping the sewing room humming, Gloria also makes all our prototypes and makes our patterns so we can turn ideas into products.Gloria just celebrated her 15th Anniversary with us. She was our first employee in Roanoke.
Also crucial to our operation is Bernadette. She is our Cutter, Embroiderer, Quality Control and makes certain that we have raw materials on hand so that we can make what you need at a moments notice. Bernie also has been with Advantage Gripware for over 5 years and is a mother and grandmother.
2023 marks the start of our 44th year in business. This puts us in the category with Mole, Matthews and very few others, as one of the most established companies in the business. With this update to our website we introduce the 2023 Price List and although some prices have gone up, we remain competitive and continue to be an industry leader in “Innovation, Quality and Service.”Over the years, we have been working with several fabric mills, to help develop new fabrics, that we feel the industry wants and needs. Our SoftBox Diffusion has been replaced by Wizard Cloth which is 126” wide and NFPA-701 compliant which previous versions were not. There is no better Fabric to bring multiple light sources together into one than Wizard Cloth, it’s truly Magic! In addition, we have also developed OPTIC Matte Black RipStop, which is completely opaque, NFPA-701 and even lighter in weight than our UltraLight Water Solid. Great for Wag Flags and when weight is an issue. Coming later this year are several more iterations of Process Screens as more and more studios and fire Marshal’s are requiring Flame Retardant fabrics on set, which ChromaTex and Tempo were not. Velcro compatibility has also become a requirement on many feature films and episodic television productions when digital targets are being used. After 5 years of development, we have finally approved the final test run of ChromaTyne PolyPro V and the fabric is now in production, so it should be arriving in early Summer. We’ll keep you updated on our progress. Another innovation is the OPTIC Process Screen / PFR , which is very light weight, completely Opaque and is also NFPA-701 compliant. Please stay safe and thank you for your continued support!Sincerely,
While the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strikes are ongoing, we will be working a 4 day week,Monday thru Tursday 8:00am to 4:30pm CT
